Where does the money go?

100% of donations made go directly towards supporting our interns and the internship programme. We believe that training and work opportunities should never represent a financial burden for those taking part. Over the years our funding has contributed to achieving the following:

• Providing all interns, regardless of location, with an hourly wage above the London Living Wage (£15/h)

• Subsidising travel and childcare costs for interns and other Black geography students, addressing the barriers which prevent participation

• Organising fully-funded fieldtrips and training opportunities, such as trips to the British Library, Black Cultural Archives, the Barbican, and the Stuart Hall Archives

• Funding our annual Fi Wi Road Fair, including paying Black researchers, artists, and cultural practitioners for their contributions
