SUPPORT OUR WORK
Our work is made possible through long term partnerships with organisations who are similarly committed to supporting the next generation of Geographers and Geoscientists. As a non-profit CIC with a small un-salaried team, our funds are directed towards creating an internship programme that puts the needs of our interns first.
By donating, you support the organisation and the project in securing a sustainable and robust future, ensuring that we can continuing doing this essential work for many years to come.

100% of donations made go directly towards supporting our interns and the internship programme. We believe that training and work opportunities should never represent a financial burden for those taking part. Over the years our funding has contributed to achieving the following:
Providing all interns, regardless of location, with an hourly wage above the London Living Wage (£15/h)
Subsidising travel and childcare costs for interns and other Black geography students, addressing the barriers which prevent participation
Organising fully-funded fieldtrips and training opportunities, such as trips to the British Library, Black Cultural Archives, the Barbican, and the Stuart Hall Archives
Funding our annual Fi Wi Road Fair, including paying Black researchers, artists, and cultural practitioners for their contributions

Fi Wi Road CIC is funded through a partnership model. Past and current funding partners have included the Royal Geographical Society, the British Society for Geomorphology, the Geographical Association, and Antipode: A Journal for Radical Geographies. We have also received ad hoc funding from supporters such as the University of Birmingham, the RACE Working Group, National Geographic, and the Stuart Hall Archives.
