In September 2023, the Fi Wi Road interns led the second Fi Wi Road Fair at the University College London (UCL). This year the interns chose to focus on the idea of journeys. Intended as a collective mapping out of Black communities, Black experiences and Black spaces across the globe. The Fair aimed to gather as a collective to understand not only the routes which brought us together, but also what the future holds. OTOTEMAN TRIPTYCH: PERFORMANCE 1 — CHARYÉ

OTOTEMAN is reborn in the form of a triptych of video performances which will also give rise to in vivo performances. PERFORMANCE 1 — CHARYÉ (Chayé) is a Creole word meaning “carried away, transported”. This is the first movement dealing with the deportation of Jewish and African bodies. At the heart of the reflection, there is the forced migration of bodies, the ghetto and the mass grave.
